Here you find questions and answers about
Question: The switching of music charts does not work. What can I do?
Answer: You probably have RealPlayer 8 or older. Check whether the running of script commands is enabled in your player.
Question: The video or audio quality is poor even though I have a broadband or ADSL connection to the internet. What can I do?
Answer: You can set the bandwidth manually in your player. If the specified bandwidth is too low, then this may result in poor video or audio quality. To check your settings, open RealPlayer in a separate window (stand-alone player), go to “Tools” on the menu bar and choose “Preferences”. A window is presented. Click on “Connection” in the left-hand pane. Check the settings in the right-hand pane, under “Bandwidth”: if the setting under “Maximum” or “Normal” is significantly lower than the bandwidth you have, this may cause a loss in quality. We therefore recommend that you click on “Test Connection…”, run the test and then accept the suggestion made by Real.
Question: How can I find out the version of my player?
Answer: Open RealPlayer in a separate window (stand-alone player), go to “Help” on the menu bar and choose “About RealPlayer”. A window is presented which also contains the details of your current player version.
Question: The switching of music charts does not work. What can I do?
Answer: Version 9 of Windows Media Players contains a new function that allows you to disable the switching of music charts. If you have version 9 or higher, you need to check the relevant setting. Open Windows Media Player in a separate window (stand-alone player), go to “Tools” on the menu bar and choose “Options”. A window is presented, where you need to click on “Security”. Under “Content” make sure the following option is not checkmarked: “Do not run script commands and rich media streams if the player is running inside a web page”. However, you must checkmark the option “Run script commands when present”. That’s all. You should now be able to switch music charts.
